Christian Burghardt Christian Burghardt is a 21 year old Singer-Songwriter, writing songs with wisdom far beyond his years, while demonstrating a sound and feel all his own. In a musical world being over-run with electronic chaos, Christian Burghardt is a breath of fresh air. Christian picked up the guitar at the age of 14 and is self taught. Jake Payne and Dixie Creek Jake and his 4 piece band, Dixie Creek, play their own brand of americana/roots rock. Instrumentation includes guitar, mandolin, banjo, bass, fiddle, percusion with 3 part harmonies. Convenient classification of Americana/Roots Music aside, Paynes music knows no boundaries and he does not dedicate his craft to any particular people, social class, or agenda. The group also features the many talents of songwriter and vocalist Kaylin Rich. Paynes credentials are the real deal having spent almost 3 years playing professionally in the roots music capital of the world, Austin, Texas. Payne has shared the stage or opened for the likes of over two dozen country and Texas music luminaries including Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Tommy Alverson, Kevin Fowler, Johnny Lee, The Bellamy Brothers, the late Chris LeDoux, Pat Green, Mike Blakely, Freddy Powers, Rusty Wier, The Derailers, Texas Renegade, Hayes Carll, Paula Nelson and Monte Montgomery. In additon to these musical opportunities, Payne's time in the Lonestar State allowed him the opportunity to expand his knowledge of the music business, develop industry relationships and sharpen his musical craft. Ben Rice The Ben Rice Band mixes the soulful heartfelt sounds of blues and the passion and energy of contemporary music. The band combines the innovation of Robben Ford, Jazz of Louis Jordan and Blues of BB King. Ben Rice started playing guitar at 7 years old and joined his brothers metal band at 9. By 11 he had played most of the rock bars and clubs in Seattle and Portland and 2 NXNW with Minor Effects in 1996 and 97. In middle school he put together Ben Rice and the Youth of Blues with friends from Jazz class. He recorded his first CD of all original material and started playing festivals and opening for many national acts including Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Dave Mason, Kenny Neal, Fabulous Thunderbirds and others. They have 4 CDs out and their newest sold out at The Portland Waterfront Blues festival in 30 minutes in 2009. Alex Ankeny on drums and Alex McEntee on bass keep the rhythm and time in the band. The Ben Rice Band won the 2006 Journey to Memphis Band Competition in Portland to represent The Cascade Blues Association in Memphis in 2007. They were semifinalist at the 2007 International Blues Challenge and were runner up in the first ever King of Beale Street competition. The band was dubbed The West Coast Kings of Beale Street. Ben has 10 Muddy Water Awards nominations by the Cascade Blues Association between 2004 and 2009 for best male vocalist and electric guitar. |

Merrill Merrill's high energy rock presence have made them the perfect opening act for such bands as Maroon 5, Counting Crows, and Augustana. They were also asked to play the 2007 Bumbershoot Music Festival with Crowded House, Fergie, and Kings Of Leon, and received regional airplay for their song "The One Thing" from their first album "Evolutions." The band has a licensing agreement with Fox Sports for the use of their song "Back 4 More" and donate their time by playing charity events for Boys and Girls Aid, The Red Cross, and The American Cancer Society, and various local charities.

YAP Club (Yapese in America with Pride) All the way from the small, remote island of Yap, Micronesia, is the fairly new Club Y.A.P. (Yapese in America With Pride) which was formed in Portland, Oregon. Banda Rebelde de Pacifico Banda Rebelde del Pacifico has become one of the youngest regional music bands in Oregon. The age ranges from 12 to 18, with a couple of exceptions, the two singers and the clarinet player are in their thirties We play different paced songs according to the climate/mood of the event. We perform mostly at family events such as Quinceaneras, weddings, and baptisms. We are young and energetic and always look forward to making an event worth attending. Lee's Association The Portland Lee's Association Dragon & Lion Dance Team has performed at numerous events and is in great demand throughout the year. The dancers, accompanied with drum, gong, and cymbals, perform Traditional Southern Chinese Lion Dance at weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, school and multi-cultural events, business grand openings, picnics, festivals, and parades. The Lee’s Association Dragon & Lion Dance Team participated again in the Rose Festival for 2010 and marched in both the Starlight Parade and the Grand Floral Parade. The Dragon used by the team is a gift to the City of Portland from our Sister City of Suzhou, China. |
